Some funding has been allocated in the Council's budget for this, but success will depend on volunteers helping with the project, which is being co-ordinated by Emma Holdaway. You can contact her on ejholdaway@hotmail.co.uk or 07984419596.
The biggest job to start with will be scraping off the existing vegetation - and we have a head start on this because Mike Bubb - who runs Maisemore's groundworks company, Dirtworks - has offered to use his equipment to get the job done. Many thanks for that, Mike!
The wildflowers
will be planted to create a bright and striking approach to our village
and hopefully a reminder to motorists that
they are approaching a residential area. This will also encourage our
local bee populations as the wildflowers will be nectar rich.
If you
are interested in helping with this project - or you want to use your own garden or verge to help get Maisemore
buzzing, please do get in touch with Emma.
