Plan to complete A417 'missing link'

Highways England is launching a consultation into options for the A417 ‘Missing Link’ - the single carriageway section including the Air Balloon roundabout - and the Gloucestershire County Council wants you to have your say.

The public consultation into the route options for the stretch of road launches on 15 February 2018 and will run until 29 March 2018.  There's more information here.

There are a number of events taking place in the county, where information will be available along with an opportunity to speak to Highways England representatives about the project and the consultation.  The closest to Maisemore are:

Sunday 04 March 2018
11am to 6pm
GL1 Leisure Centre
Bruton Way, Gloucester, GL1 1DT
Thursday 08 March 2018
12pm to 8pm
Henley Bank High School (formerly known as Millbrook Academy)
Mill Lane, Brockworth, Gloucester, GL3 4QF
Residents will be able to have their say on the shortlisted route options that will be published when the consultation starts. To make sure as many people as possible have chance to give their views, Gloucestershire County Council is supporting the consultation by hosting information points in some libraries and will be making the plans available at Shire Hall. The closest libraries are:

  • Gloucester Library, Brunswick Road, Gloucester, GL1 1HT
  • Hucclecote Library, Hucclecote Road, Gloucester, GL3 3RT
  • Brockworth Community Library, Moorfield Road, Brockworth, GL3 4ET
