In order to vote in the General Election on Thursday 12th December, you must be registered.
You can do this on the government's voter registration page here. The deadline for registrations for the General Election is midnight on 26 November.
If you want to apply to vote by post, register before 5pm on 26 November. If you're going to be abroad, you may prefer to appoint a proxy to vote for you, as sending a postal vote from abroad may risk it not arriving in time. A proxy should be someone you know and trust. Links to register for a postal or proxy vote are on the same page of the government website, here.
