On Friday, 26 October 2018 Maisemore Local History Society
with St Giles Church will commemorate the end of the 1914-1918 war, 100 years
ago. Starting at 7:30 p.m. in St Giles Church, Rose Spence, historian, will
give an illustrated talk entitled “1914-1918 Village Life during the Great War”.
After her talk, Rev John Longuet-Higgins will give a short address. This will
then be followed by refreshments and drinks. There is nothing to pay; just come
along and remember those people of this village who walked out to fight for
their country and never came back. We will remember them.
