On Thursday 21 September 2017 the Maisemore Local History Society begins a new season of local history talks. Incorporated with the AGM we have a talk by Mike Hall with the intriguing title “Severn Tsunami? The Story of Britain’s Greatest Natural Disaster”.
Further talks will be on the subjects of Alney Island, Hidcote Manor Gardens, The Industrial History of the Forest of Dean, Stroudwater Textiles, Development of Gloucester Cathedral, Thomas Hughes - a Stroud Apothecary, plus in February a members’ evening with Robin Stayt, Derrick Hall, Andy Sysum and Charles Dobbin.
With membership at £12 and eight meetings, what better value could you have! Plus of course refreshments!
