Thanks for cutting those hedges!

Pedestrians are much safer on the pavements of Maisemore thanks to those residents who have responded to the Parish Council's request to trim back overhanging hedges.  These have had the effect in the past of forcing pedestrians off the pavement and into the road.

Although many of the problem hedges have been tackled, a few still remain.  A particular problem at this time of year is brambles growing through the hedges and hanging down over pavements.  Please do make sure you haven't got any of these as you might be liable if they caused an injury.

Parking on pavements is still a problem for pedestrians, especially if they have a pushchair or wheelchair.  The advice from Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership is "Please don't park on the pavement, not even for a moment!".  Pavements are for People.
